Arppa & Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri Ensemble at Tampere-talo

Arppa & Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri Ensemble perform in Tampere-talo's Iso sali on Saturday 29 May 2027 at 19:00. The concert brings Arppa's songs together with a string-focused ensemble from Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri, with arrangements and conducting by Mikko Pellinen.

Expect a programme mixing blues, jazz, soul, Finnish rock and pop with touches of classical and filmic colour. The band line-up features Aaro "Arppa" Airola (vocals, trumpet), Ville-Veikko Airaniemi (guitar), Eero Seppä (bass), Okko Saastamoinen (drums, mandolin) and Mikko Pellinen (keyboards, conductor), plus the Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri Ensemble. Performances alternate between acoustic and electric arrangements and leave room for improvisation; the show includes an interval. A licensed seating area on the stalls allows purchased drinks in the auditorium (boxes A and B and the balcony are excluded) and that area has an absolute 18+ age limit. Tickets are available from Tampere-talo.

The NEW event adds detailed information on the programme and running format: alternation between acoustic and electric arrangements with space for improvisation, a stated interval, and a specific conductor/arranger credit (Mikko Pellinen) plus the full line-up including Aaro “Arppa” Airola, Ville-Veikko Airaniemi, Eero Seppä, Okko Saastamoinen, Mikko Pellinen, and the Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri Ensemble. It also includes venue-specific age/seating details: a licensed stalls seating area (excluding boxes A & B and the balcony) where purchased drinks are allowed, with an absolute 18+ age limit.
