Tampere Guitar Festival: Classical to Flamenco
The Tampere Guitar Festival runs 16–19 Sept 2026 at Tampereen konservatorio (with concerts also at Pirkkala Old Church and club gigs at Galleria Himmelblau), featuring international classical and flamenco guitarists, ensembles, masterclasses and accompanying events.
The Tampere Guitar Festival takes place at Tampereen konservatorio from 16–19 September 2026, featuring concerts, club gigs and courses in classical and flamenco guitar.
The programme brings international soloists and ensembles to Tampere: the virtuoso duo Aniello Desiderio (ITA) & Zoran Dukić (CRO) perform in Finland for the first time, Francisco Bernier marks Manuel de Falla’s 150th anniversary, and Patrik Kleemola plays Spanish guitar classics on period instruments. Concerts are staged at Tampereen konservatorio and Pirkkala Old Church, and the weekend 360-club at Galleria Himmelblau presents flamenco and jazz-tinged sets including Joonas Widenius with singer Anna Murtola and dancer Ingrid Mugun (EST), and a quartet led by Lassi Friman with Toomas Keski-Säntti (Rhodes), Antti Lötjönen (double bass) and Joonas Riippa (drums). Artists also offer free classical guitar masterclasses. An accompanying programme runs at Tampere Main Library Metso through the autumn, with musical warm-ups on 21 August and Janne Malinen’s lecture-concert series “540 Years of Guitar History” from 29 September to 9 December.
