A jogger was struck by a pellet fired from an air gun on Pinsiöntie in Nokia late Monday evening. The runner was passing Pinsiöntie 29 at about 10 p.m., and the injury was not serious.
Police described the act as dangerous and are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to report any observations. No suspect has been identified.
Investigators believe the shooter may have been on the north side of Pinsiöntie, but the shot could also have come from elsewhere, including from inside a building or from a vehicle. Authorities are particularly interested in reports of people acting unusually, the sound of a gunshot, or vehicles that attracted attention.
