Tamperelainen reports that Aleksandra Hannusaari has relinquished her Miss Suomi first runner-up title and representative duties, calling the decision personal and "the right one."
Tamperelainen reports that Aleksandra Hannusaari, born in Kauhajoki and now living in Tampere, has relinquished her Miss Suomi first runner-up title and the representative duties she earned at the 5 September final. She called the decision "the right one," saying it was personal and that she wants to close the chapter on good terms and continue on her own path.
Sunneva Sjögren, CEO of Finnartist Oy, thanked Hannusaari for the shared journey, expressed respect for her choice and wished her well. Sofia Singh will move up to first runner-up, with Rebekka Homanen becoming second runner-up. Veera Grönlund remains Miss Suomi and will represent Finland at the Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico in November.
Marking its 95th anniversary, the Miss Suomi organisation said the trio will take part in media, charity work, photoshoots and partnership duties during the year. Hannusaari was one of two Tampere-linked contestants who reached the Miss Suomi final on 5 September earlier coverage.
