Bystanders use paddleboard and rowboat to rescue person at Kaupinoja
Bystanders pulled a person ashore near Kaupinoja in Tampere on Tuesday after 5 PM using a stand-up paddleboard and a rowboat. Emergency services met them on the shore.
A person who ended up in the water near the shore at Kaupinoja in Tampere was pulled ashore on Tuesday after 5 PM, Aamulehti reported.
Onlookers spotted the person and used a stand-up paddleboard and a rowboat to bring them to land. Emergency medical services met them on the shore, and the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department said it had no information on how the person entered the water.
The incident follows a Tammerkoski rapids rescue in September and a drifting rowboat near Niemi Beach earlier this month.
