Classical Trancelations in Concert will bring symphonic versions of electronic dance hits to Tampere Hall on 28 August, performed by Tampere Filharmonia with soloists and choir.

On Friday 28 August Tampere Hall will stage Classical Trancelations in Concert, featuring Tampere Filharmonia, composer Petri "Lowland" Alanko and conductor Ross Jamie Collins.

Electronic dance classics from Faithless, Moby and The Prodigy have been reworked for full orchestra. Symphonic arrangements of tracks by Tiësto and Eric Prydz are also on the programme. Expect big beats reimagined for strings and brass.

Soloists include Marianna, Elna Romberg, Redrama and Manuel Dunkel. Actor Sami Uotila, known from Salatut elämät and recent summers at Kangasala summer theatre, will also appear. Helsinki chamber choir Ahjo Ensemble provides the choral parts.

Organisers have designed a visually striking production for the hall, aiming to balance intimacy, power and epic sweep, Tamperelainen reports.

The concert follows the orchestra's recently announced 2026–27 season, which highlighted choral works and special events.
