Danny, Eino Grön and Other Schlager Icons Headline ‘Gentlemen on Stage’ at Tampere Hall
Schlager legends including Danny and Eino Grön will perform at Tampere Hall on 29 November as part of the 'Gentlemen on Stage' tour.
'Gentlemen on Stage' will stop at Tampere Hall on 29 November, gathering Finnish icons Danny, Eino Grön, Pasi Kaunisto, Erkki Liikanen, Kai Hyttinen, Sakari Kuosmanen and Kari Vepsä, Tamperelainen reports.
Conductor Jari Puhakka will lead the backing orchestra and Markku Veijalainen will host the concerts. Eikka Eronen, known for musical roles portraying young Kari Tapio and Reijo Taipale, joins the lineup. Organisers promise a mix of evergreen hits and joint performances that will be seen only on this tour.
The artists said they are eager for the autumn dates. Danny said the aim is to reach audiences "with great love" and to delight them through music; Eino Grön described the tour as musically rich and a chance to revisit classic songs without abandoning the hits. Erkki Liikanen added there will be fun and that he will perform Evakkoreen among other numbers. Pasi Kaunisto called the bill a rare opportunity for artists of their generation and "a fine service to the people of Finland," a sentiment echoed by Kari Vepsä.
