Ilves climbs to top of Liiga and debuts Carpool Karaoke with Jarkko Parikka

Ilves has released a new Carpool Karaoke episode featuring veteran defender Jarkko Parikka. The video follows the club's recent ILVES+ streaming announcement and an earlier ILVES+ podcast rollout.

In the Carpool Karaoke instalment Parikka rides in a Lexus and visits two Tampere locations that matter to him, discussing family, loss and life off the ice. The video is exclusive to subscribers. Kari “Kilu” Järvinen, father of a former Ilves captain and founder of the Kilu fund, talks about the new fund and his Kilun Kiekkokoulu youth programme on the Ilvestyskirja. Nyt. podcast. Episodes are released to subscribers first and then published free on the service and on Spotify from Wednesday.

Ilves' win over Jukurit moved the yellow-and-green to the top of the Liiga standings. Supporters can relive the atmosphere in a postgame mood video on the service. The club's next match is Saturday at Nokia Arena against Kiekko-Espoo. The service will carry a full match broadcast, including a one-hour preview, live commentary and postgame coverage.
