Ilves to host family-packed home-opener weekend at Nokia Arena

At the end of September, Nokia Arena will host a family-packed home-opener weekend organised by Ilves, featuring special shows, early doors and ticket deals. The announcement follows the club's earlier themed-night rollout and ticket-sale plans announced in August and the €10 'Ten‑Tuesdays' promotion for selected autumn matches launched at the end of August.

The Liiga season’s first home game is scheduled for Friday when KooKoo visits, and the club will premiere an updated opening show and matchday programme. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Pihlajalinna is running a 100-day bonus challenge with a raffle prize of Jan‑Mikael Järvinen’s stick, and the mascots Ipa and Nipa will appear alongside Pihlajalinna’s Kettu mascot.

Sunday is billed as Ilves family day, with doors opening at 1:30 PM. The arena foyer will showcase Ilves ry’s different sports and launch the youth-supporting Kilu fund. A Muistox photo point will offer free instant prints, and Stand 41 will host supporter-signing and colouring activities. A meet and greet after the game will let supporters meet players and get autographs.

The month closes with a Ten‑Euro Tuesday fixture on 29 September at 6:30 PM against Mikkeli Jukurit. The club is offering category‑10 tickets for Tuesday games at 10 €/person, along with themed food and drink deals at arena concessions.
