Kaija Koo opens the Tuuleen piirretyt vuodet 40-year tour at Nokia Arena in Tampere this Friday, kicking off a music-heavy weekend that also features Arttu Wiskari, Happoradio, Hevisaurus and Pauli Hanhiniemen Perunateatteri.

Kaija Koo kicks off a career-spanning tour in Tampere this Friday, opening the Tuuleen piirretyt vuodet tour at Nokia Arena, Tamperelainen reports. It will spotlight highlights from her 40-year solo career with a large, visually driven stage show.

The set reaches back to Koo’s 1993 breakthrough with "Kuka keksi rakkauden" and includes newer radio hits such as "Kanarialintu." Also anchoring Tampere’s music weekend are Arttu Wiskari and Happoradio on Friday 23 October. Wiskari plays Ilona; his songs "Mökkitie" and "Tuntematon potilas" helped move him from working at a hardware store to national prominence. Happoradio brings material from their September-released ninth album Me tarvitsemme toisiamme to Tavara-asema, with local rock newcomers Kormus opening.

Family metal act Hevisaurus storms Tampere-talo on Saturday 24 October with its costume-driven show featuring characters like Komppi Momppi and Herra Hevisaurus. The tour now reaches other European countries and the United States.

Pauli Hanhiniemen Perunateatteri returns to the road and plays Tavara-asema on Wednesday 28 October. The band released six albums and a compilation between 1995 and 2004 and will perform hits such as "Perso elämälle," "Siipeen jos sain" and "Vieraslista."
