Kuopio-based Cme Solutions and Pirkkala-founded Skyfuel Solutions have won a €4 million contract to renew Air Force fuel systems at the Rissala (Siilinjärvi) and Oulunsalo air bases.
Kuopio-based Cme Solutions and Pirkkala-founded Skyfuel Solutions have signed a €4 million contract with the Defence Forces to renew Air Force fuel systems at the Rissala (Siilinjärvi) and Oulunsalo air bases, YLE reports.
The deal continues a long-running cooperation with the Defence Forces. It strengthens the companies' position as specialists in safety-critical fuel handling, storage and refuelling systems. CEO Marko Miettinen called the order significant: its value exceeds the firms' turnover last year, €3 million. Skyfuel, founded in Pirkkala last year, will handle mechanical implementation, and Cme Solutions will draw on recent projects delivering fuel systems to the Defence Forces. Miettinen said the companies are targeting €8–10 million in revenue this year and will hire a few new employees to fulfil the contract.
