SUPERBLOOM Director Fruzsina Szép Wins 2026 Tampere International Music Award
Fruzsina Szép has been awarded the 2026 Tampere International Music Award for her longstanding role in shaping Europe’s festival scene; the prize was presented at the Industry Awards gala on 2 October.
The City of Tampere presented the Tampere International Music Award as part of the Music x Media professional event. The prize honours industry figures who have strengthened ties between the Finnish and international music markets since its launch in 2010.
This year’s winner, Fruzsina Szép, was recognised for her long-standing role in shaping Europe’s festival scene. She is managing director and festival director for SUPERBLOOM at the historic Olympic Park and Olympic Stadium in Munich. She returned to lead Lollapalooza Berlin in 2024 and co-founded the TAKE A STAND movement advocating social cohesion and tolerance across the music industry. Her influence stretches across the continent.
The prize was handed out at the Industry Awards gala on 2 October; it was one of 29 awards given across 27 categories during the Industry Awards gala in Tampere.
At the same gala, the City of Tampere and Music x Media jointly presented the LUO(V)UUS award to Diivavälitys.
