Tampere will fly flags at half-mast across the city centre for the funeral of Norway’s King Harald V.

According to the City of Tampere, flags will fly at half-mast across Tampere city centre during the funeral of Norway’s King Harald V.

That includes lowered flags in front of the Raatihuone and on the city hall roof.

The Ministry of the Interior ordered mourning flags at the Office of the President of the Republic, Parliament and other government properties, and recommended all state agencies follow suit. Tampere is following that national directive. The decision follows the city's earlier announcement that it would decide on Wednesday whether to fly mourning flags for the funeral.
