Indie-folk trio HIPPIJUHLA celebrates their debut album with a concert at Tahmelan Huvila on 25 June 2026 at 18:00. The show marks the Tampere band's first full-length release and is scheduled to run for around an hour.
Formed in 2023, HIPPIJUHLA mixes narrative songwriting with shifting moods, from the joy of discovery to reflections on youth and love. The trio features an unusual instrumental palette – hurdy-gurdy, conga drums, flute and octave mandolin – and prominent three-part harmonies. Lineup: Tom Härkönen – hurdy-gurdy, octave mandolin, vocals; Mikko Vanhasalo – octave mandolin, clarinet, vocals; Riina Ingalsuo – percussion, flute, vocals. Admission is free; a collection will be taken.
