Jimmy Träskelin Courtyard Concert in Lempäälä

Singer-songwriter and archipelago folk musician Jimmy Träskelin performs a free courtyard concert at Kuokkalantie 14 in Lempäälä on 11 June 2026 at 18:00.

Träskelin, who studied harmonica at Keski-Pohjanmaa University of Applied Sciences, combines a strong folk foundation with maritime imagery and reflections on the relationship between people and nature. He is also a multi-instrumentalist, graphic designer, photographer and pedagogue, and has worked as publication manager at the Folk Music Institute and as editor-in-chief of Kantele magazine. His recordings include Tuulisen kylän poika (2011), Reisaavaisen laulu (2013), Turvalan uunilla (2016), The Worn Soles' Like Good Wine (2017) and the Havaintovihko release (2020). Träskelin has appeared at events such as Norpas Festival, Kaustinen Folk Music Festival and Folklandia. Admission is free; there are benches for the audience but no shelter, and the concert will be canceled only in the event of a severe storm. The event is organized by Lempäälä municipal cultural services and Lempäälä-Seura ry as part of the municipality's 160th anniversary celebrations.
