Maalamus offers a participatory painting workshop with live piano at Tahmelan Huvila on 23 June 2026 from 14:00 to 15:30. The event combines improvised visual practice with live music in a relaxed studio setting.
The meeting opens with the Maalamus performance to set the mood, then participants explore pastel drawing and improvisational painting while pianist Paula Präktig performs. Visual artist Satu Salomaa will advise on drawing materials and techniques as needed; no prior experience is required. A materials fee of 5-10 euros is collected on site – cash, MobilePay or bank card accepted. Maalamus is a collaborative project by Satu Salomaa and Paula Präktig that blends improvised painting and music into narrative experiences.
