Saara Suvanto Remembered by Pekka Nisu & Company

A tribute concert to singer-songwriter Saara Suvanto is held at Kulttuuritalo Telakka in Tampere on 9 September 2026. Doors open at 19:00 and the performance begins at 20:00.

Pekka Nisu joins Suvanto's siblings Hanna Ekola and Martti Heikkilä along with long-time musician Make Tommila to present their versions of her songs. The programme reflects on Suvanto’s career – she became blind at 20, released three albums and is known for tracks such as "Ruman rajun Raija rouvan rokki", "Viimeinen motelli" and "Kissat ja koirat ja linnutkin". The concerts follow a sold-out commemoration in her home town Punkalaidun and mark roughly 40 years since her first single.
