The 2028 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship (U20) will take place at Nokia Arena in Tampere and at Turku's Gatorade Center from 26 December 2027 to 5 January 2028.
The tournament will bring national under-20 teams to Finland; organisers and city officials have highlighted Tampere and Turku's strong arena facilities for the competition. Formal approval of the host cities is expected at the IIHF spring congress in May. The event is organised by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association (Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto); Finland last hosted the tournament in 2016, when the home team won gold.
