The Ministry of Finance has issued a new two-euro commemorative coin honoring Raili and Reima Pietilä, Tamperelainen reports. Minted by Helsinki Mint and designed by Pekka Rytkönen, the coin's national side depicts Dipoli, the student union building. The motif includes Mercury's staff, the country code FI and the year 2026. A small R to the right marks the designer. The value side carries the standard European two-euro reverse. Raili and Reima Pietilä began their careers in the same architectural office, and their first joint project was Dipoli, designed in 1961 for the Technical University student union.
