32 Original Tove Jansson Drawings from Tampere Bound for London Exhibition
Tampere Art Museum will lend 32 original Tove Jansson drawings to an exhibition at the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration in London from 21 November 2026 to 9 May 2027.
The drawings come from the museum's collection. They include original illustrations for Mumintrollet och jordens undergång, Snarkjakten, an adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Dragon Mountain and The Summer Book, plus two cover drawings for the magazine Garm. They will be shown at the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration in London from 21 November 2026 to 9 May 2027, according to Tamperelainen.
The museum charges an administrative loan fee. It lends works only to institutions with professional expertise in safe handling, transport and installation, and has defined the loan agreement as confidential.
The loan follows a period of Jansson-related activity in Tampere, including the Moomin Museum's recent 'Winter Night Glow' mug release and related exhibition.
