900-capacity music venue F54 opens in Finlayson factory in Tampere city centre
F54 opens today in Tampere city centre in the former Fame nightclub premises inside the Finlayson factory; the 900-capacity venue will host multi-genre concerts, club-style events and be available for private and corporate bookings.
F54 opens today in Tampere city centre, taking over the former Fame nightclub premises inside the historic Finlayson factory building. The venue holds roughly 900 people. It will host multi-genre concerts and club-style events and can be booked for corporate and private functions. "Our goal is to build one of Tampere's most interesting event and gig venues," says Mikko Hammar, restaurant group leader at NoHo Partners. Hammar stresses that F54 is not simply Fame with a new name. The site has been rebuilt from the ground up with a new concept, identity, operating model and organization, and it will be open only for scheduled events rather than regular nightclub nights. The name comes from the building's number, Finlayson factory 54, also known as TR54 or Media54. A programme of upcoming shows has already been announced, with more dates to follow. The opening adds to Tampere's live-music scene after the recent reopening of Tullikamari following a major renovation last month. Tamperelainen reported the opening.
