AC Oulu set to sign veteran striker Roope Riski from Ilves

AC Oulu will sign 35-year-old striker Roope Riski from Ilves, Tamperelainen and Yle report. Two rounds remain in the Veikkausliiga season. The move is aimed at strengthening Oulu's attack. Oulu sit sixth in the table, one point above seventh-placed TPS, while Ilves are ninth. The potential signing is linked to a likely overseas transfer for Oulu centre forward Abdoulaye Konen as the club chases a top-six place in the upper series. Riski has two goals in 11 league appearances this season, has played domestically for TPS, SJK and HJK and has eight senior national team caps. Oulu finish the campaign away to Jaro and at home to SJK.
