Ilves Loans Roope Taponen to HC Davos for Season

Ilves goaltender Roope Taponen is loaned to HC Davos in Switzerland for the rest of the season, Tamperelainen writes. Pavlat and Armalis remain Ilves' primary duo in goal, with Jimi Kuivila as a third option who can also play for Ilves U20.

Koskela says in a press release that the rest-of-season move serves the player and fits both clubs' situations. The paper notes that two goaltenders have shared playing time fairly and that Kuivila will be available as a backup for the remainder of the season
