Evergreen Ladies to Fly Tampere's Flag Solo at Les Sables-d'Olonne Festival

Tampereen Naisvoimistelijat's Evergreen Ladies will be the only group from Tampere at the Golden Age Gym Festival in Les Sables-d'Olonne, France, from 4–9 October, Aamulehti reports.
The ten-member over-50 troupe has rehearsed the "Dancing with Ladies" routine since January, meeting each afternoon for strict sessions at the Ratina Stadium sports hall. Coach and choreographer Pirkko Paara says synchronization is the hardest part. To fine-tune timing and eliminate small errors, rehearsals are filmed.
The team will wear their performance costumes at the festival, and club coordinator Mari Salminen will carry the Finnish flag in the opening parade. Departing Tampere on Saturday, October 3, the trip marks Tampere's seventh visit to the biennial event, which draws participants from 21 countries and combines performances with lectures, workshops and cultural visits.
