Police have completed a preliminary investigation into the single-vehicle crash on Sotkiantie in Akaa on April 9 that killed a young adult driver, Tamperelainen reports.
Police say four vehicles were travelling in a convoy toward Kylmäkoski. The third car began an overtaking maneuver on a straight section and continued at high speed over a hill. After the crest the road curves to the right; in that bend the driver lost control, ran off the road and struck two trees side-on. Speed was identified as the cause, and police said they will not provide further details.
