The online bookseller has opened a physical sales point at the Bella Kirppis flea market in Lielahti, Tampere, the newspaper Aamulehti reports.
The company launched a similar shop-in-shop corner at Bella Kirppis in Espoo at the same time, extending a network that began with outlets in Kuopio in March and Kouvola in May. Finlandia Kirja offers both new and used books, and the company says it wants older titles to find new readers, CEO Matti Pietilä said in a press release. Bella Kirppis staff will handle customer service while Finlandia curates the selection. Both the Tampere and Espoo points follow the flea markets' opening hours.
Founded in 2019 and based in Lahti, Finlandia Kirja employs 43 people in Päijät-Häme. It reported a turnover of €3.3 million last year.
