Hämeenlinna nursing class marks 50th reunion in Tampere
Nurses who graduated in Hämeenlinna 50 years ago gathered in Tampere in May to mark their 50th reunion, spending the afternoon sharing memories over a meal.
Aamulehti reported that nurses who graduated in Hämeenlinna 50 years ago gathered in Tampere in May to mark the milestone. They ate together as memories of school filled the room. No programme was needed.
The former students spent the afternoon reminiscing about their training and a beloved teacher, comparing life stories from the past five decades. Conversation and laughter carried the afternoon, and the group was in complete harmony.
The gathering was among several community events featured in Aamulehti's Moro column. Residents of the housing company Hämeenkyrön Paapanaho took their Paapanklubi summer trip to the Kukkokuppila café in Hämeenkyrö on July 10. Owner Tiia Hämäläinen recounted the history of the Hillu house, and members enjoyed waffles and a tour among the farm’s birds and rabbits.
On July 17, the Alexander von Nottbeck family held a summer meeting and election at Finlayson Palace in Tampere. The day included speeches, choir music, a Tallipiha tour and conversations about Finnish, Swedish and Sámi history. Uusionuoret celebrated 20 years of friendship on June 9 at Massunkuja, marking the occasion with toasts, a commemorative booklet and photographs.
