Coach- and player-designed socks go on sale at the Ilves Shop in Tampere on Friday 30 October. Ten euros from each pair will be donated to Hope Tampere, and the contest will be decided at the checkout, not on the ice.
Coaches Tommi Niemelä, Tuomas Kiiskinen and Joonas Tanska face players Jan-Mikael Järvinen, Matic Török and Jarkko Parikka; each group had full creative control over its design. Sidoste will manufacture both models in Tampere as part of the local collaboration to support children and young people in low-income families through Hope Tampere.
Sales start at 10:00 on 30 October. Socks are available in sizes 36–40 and 41–45 and cost €10 per pair. The sale runs until 15 December at 23:59. The winning design and the campaign's final donation total will be announced at Ilves's home game at Nokia Arena on 17 December. The campaign continues Ilves's recent community fundraising and outreach efforts, following the club's Green Game for World Mental Health Day.
