Ilves' Mic'd Up Series Lets Fans Hear On-Ice Talk from Benjamin Korhonen

Fans can now hear rink-level communication up close after the club launched a Mic'd Up series on ILVES+ that debuts with new signing Benjamin Korhonen miked during a practice match against Kärpät. The debut episode was recorded during the team's final warm-up before the season at Hakametsä and is part of the revamp of its ILVES+ streaming service announced in July. It captures on-ice exchanges between players and coaches, including penalty-kill talk and how often Korhonen is vocal during play. You can even hear coach Tommi Niemelä address the team during a timeout. CCM is the series partner, and episodes will be published monthly through the regular season, at least eight in total. They are available exclusively to ILVES+ subscribers at ilvesplus.com.
