An injured swan that struck an apartment building in Iidesranta was reached by rescue crews but had injuries too severe to treat and was euthanized at the scene, the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department said.
The swan struck an apartment building wall while trying to take off and fell onto a lower-level roof. Rescue crews reached the animal with an aerial platform truck, but its injuries were too severe to treat. It was euthanized at the scene, the Pirkanmaa Rescue Department told Tamperelainen.
