Kellie Harrington to Compete at Tammer Tournament in Pyynikki

Two-time Olympic champion Kellie Harrington will compete in the women's 60 kg division at the Tammer Tournament in Pyynikki from October 30 to November 1, according to Aamulehti. The event will feature more than 90 boxers from 12 countries.

Tournament organiser Anna Laukkanen called Harrington "one of the world's best" and said it is rare to attract such stars to Finland. Organisers have struggled with demand and have turned down entries.

Local hopes include Pihla Kaivo-oja, who recently won silver at the European Championships. On the men's card Finland will be represented by Ismail Umar in the 65 kg class, a European Championships bronze medallist. Competitors will come from across Europe as well as Australia, Brazil and India, creating a global field for the weekend of fights.
