Kerros Burger Tops Hesburger Finland, Abroad Prefers Cheeseburger
Hesburger's Kerros burger was Finland's top-seller last year, with paprika mayonnaise as the leading sauce. Abroad, the cheeseburger topped sales and cucumber mayonnaise was the most popular sauce, while domestic turnover rose nearly 11% to about 569 million euros.
Finland's Hesburger crowns the Kerros burger as the domestic best-seller last year, with paprika mayonnaise as the top sauce, according to Tamperelainen.
Tamperelainen notes that outside Finland, the cheeseburger was the top-selling burger and the most popular sauce was cucumber mayonnaise.
Tamperelainen reports that domestic sales grew nearly 11 percent year over year, taking Hesburger's total taxable turnover to around 569 million euros, with about 327 million from Finland. By year-end the chain operated 259 restaurants in Finland and 236 abroad, and chief operating officer Mari Piispanen hints that the company is scouting new locations this year.
