Metal band Kiuas will perform an acoustic, sauna‑themed show at Olympia on Satakunnankatu this Saturday, bringing steam, warmth and folk‑influenced intensity.
Olympia will turn into a sauna when Kiuas brings steam, warmth and acoustic intensity to Satakunnankatu on Saturday, Tamperelainen reports.
Formed in 2000 and now staging a comeback, Kiuas has put together a special evening that blends metal subgenres, folk influences and Finnish mythology into acoustic passages and controlled bursts of power. Expect atmosphere and close-up energy instead of a straight electric onslaught.
Tampere Rock City listings highlight other notable gigs this week. Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha serve up lively folk and Balkan-flavored dance at Olympia on Saturday. Pintandwefall mark their 20th anniversary at G Livelab on Thursday while preparing a new album. Wasted headline a punk night at Tavara-asema on Friday with Juggling Jugulars, Abduktio and Puhelinseksi. Matti Johannes Koivu, back from a six-year recording break with the album Pojanpoika, plays intimate pop at TTT-klubi on Saturday and will feature the new track "Miljoonan euron juttu."
