A mother bear and two cubs were spotted moving toward Onnimanni daycare near the Ylöjärvi border on Wednesday morning, prompting police and wildlife officers to respond and residents to steer clear of the area.
The bear family was seen at 9:20 a.m., moving toward Hämeenkyrö's built-up area near Onnimanni daycare, Tamperelainen reports.
Police and wildlife officers were reported to be on their way after 10 a.m. to assess and manage the situation.
Residents are asked not to approach the animals. Authorities say they will provide updates as they become available.
