Olli Lindholm music tour lands in Tampere in 2026

Aamulehti reports that Olli Lindholm's music will be performed on a spring 2026 tour by three musicians across 14 Finnish cities, with Tampere hosting a show at Komediateatterin Palatsi on April 25.

Aamulehti notes that the program centers on Lindholm's well-known compositions, with stories and memories behind the songs; the lyrics were written by notable names such as Pauli Hanhiniemi, Heikki Salo, Eija Hinkkala, and Juice Leskinen. The touring trio—Mikko Kangasjärvi (piano), Jari Latomaa (guitar), and Markus Salo on vocals—have previously performed Lindholm's music in Tampere in March 2025 at G Livelab.

Lindholm, who died in 2019, fronted the Yö band for almost four decades; he wrote and sang for Yö as well as other artists like Pate Mustajärvi and Popeda. Yö was formed in Pori in 1981 and has released 21 studio albums. Kangasjärvi says in the tour's press release that the feedback has been so warm it feels like a duty to return to Olli Lindholm's compositions, while Salo continues to carry the lead vocals on the tour.
