Kummeli will launch a nationwide tour next spring but will not stop in Tampere, Aamulehti reported.
The Ilta Kummelin kanssa tour stars Timo Kahilainen, Heikki Hela and Olli Keskinen, with producer Matti Grönberg. It opens on 27 April in Imatra and closes on 22 May in Espoo, with stops planned in Kuusankoski, Lahti, Jyväskylä, Pori, Turku, Järvenpää and Oulu.
Evenings will mix selected classic sketches, behind-the-scenes stories, new material and surprises.
The format was suggested a few years ago by the museum centre Vapriikki. Kahilainen said in a press release that when Vapriikki asked what they should do on stage, they replied, "We answered Vapriikki's suggestion asking what we should do on stage. They said to go through selected Kummeli sketches with the audience and remember their backgrounds and origins."
This is the group's first major tour since the death of Heikki Silvennoinen in December 2024. The shows are expected to be nostalgic, absurd and occasionally moving, with Silvennoinen the only absence.
