Pia Nieminen finished a six-figure renovation of a long-abandoned Pispala wooden house, repairing structural damage and refurbishing interiors to return the property to livable condition.

Pia Nieminen has completed a thorough renovation of a long-abandoned wooden house in Pispala, spending hundreds of thousands of euros to restore the property to livable condition. The overhaul included structural repairs and interior refurbishment after years of neglect, leaving the house refreshed and ready to live in. Photos published by Tamperelainen show the renewed exterior and rooms, results Nieminen calls rewarding after such a large investment and effort. It was a labour of love. The renovation comes as the city considers tighter building rights to protect Pispala’s historic character as the council weighs new zoning limits.
