Pirha rolls out 03 311 phone series across Pirkanmaa
Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county Pirha is replacing many service phone numbers with a new 03 311 series across the region to simplify contacts; the rollout is already under way and will continue into next spring.
The change follows Pirha’s earlier centralisation of SMS contact numbers for booking and cancelling appointments for residents who cannot call or use digital services centralising SMS contact numbers. According to Aamulehti, Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county Pirha has begun replacing many service phone numbers with a new 03 311 series across the region; the rollout is already under way and will continue into next spring.
Pirha says the overhaul aims to simplify and standardise phone numbers to make it easier for residents to reach services. New numbers already in use include the medical rehabilitation office, 03 311 68300 (Mon–Fri 08:00–13:00); mental health, substance use and addiction counselling for over-18s, 03 311 68280 (Mon–Fri 09:00–15:00); and the Lielahti social and health centre's doctor and nurse receptions, 03 311 68240 (Mon–Thu 08:00–16:00, Fri 08:00–15:00).
The text message number for cancelling appointments and for people with speech or hearing impairments remains 040 129 5420. A shared physio and occupational therapy booking number, 03 311 68290, now serves 17 municipalities including Kuhmoinen, Orivesi, Valkeakoski and Ylöjärvi.
Old numbers will carry a notice of the change at least until the end of the year. Calls to old numbers are automatically forwarded for one month. The project has already eliminated more than a hundred separate numbers. More unifications are planned: Ylöjärvi social and health centre and the Kuru local service point will have unified reception numbers at the end of September, and late September to October will bring changes to several Tampere-area clinics. The system update continues into next spring.
