Pirkanmaa fashion firm Besign files for bankruptcy as Blaa online shop taken offline
Pirkanmaa clothing firm Besign has filed for bankruptcy and its Blaa online shop is temporarily closed after years of falling turnover and a confirmed but ultimately unsuccessful restructuring.
Pirkanmaa-based clothing company Besign has filed for bankruptcy with the Pirkanmaa District Court and its Blaa online shop is temporarily closed, YLE reports.
The company manufactured and sold clothing under the Blaa brand for children and adults. Turnover plunged from just under €1.7 million in 2022 to about €300,000 a few years later. It previously operated a store in Lempäälä’s Ideapark, rebranded from Ballot to Blaa in 2022. In April 2023 Aamulehti said Besign had asked customers for help with a discount campaign as rising costs strained its operations.
The Pirkanmaa District Court oversaw Besign’s company reorganisation proceedings in 2023–2024 and confirmed a restructuring plan in April 2024, but the firm kept selling via its website and pop-up shops. Most recently it ran a summer 2026 pop-up in Tampere’s Ratina shopping centre before the online store was taken offline.
