Pirkanmaa Social Democrats' slate reaches 18 as Nina Lindberg and Dr Atte Virolainen join
Pirkanmaa Social Democrats have nominated Nina Lindberg and Atte Virolainen, a doctor, as parliamentary candidates, bringing the district list to 18 ahead of next spring’s election.
The district board appointed Nina Lindberg, an executive director with a Master of Social Sciences, and Atte Virolainen, a doctor and firefighter-paramedic who is known on social media as "Doctor Atte." Both candidates live in Tampere. Their nominations bring the district's slate to 18 after an earlier round named 16 candidates. Two slots remain to be filled. The additions follow earlier moves that had expanded the party's list to 17 in September. Tamperelainen reported the nominations.
