Pirkkalan Prisma Ends 24/7 Hours, Adopts 6–24 Schedule

Pirkkalan Prisma will drop its 24/7 opening from Monday, March 9, and will operate Monday to Sunday from 6 am to midnight, Tamperelainen reports.

Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa says the change follows a long analysis of the profitability of night hours and reflects changes in the operating environment, notably smaller parking areas and temporary traffic arrangements in Pirkkala. The cooperative adds that shifting focus to the broader daytime hours will allow it to reallocate staff and try new work models, such as using early mornings and late evenings for tasks like stocking, while testing what works best based on customer feedback and internal observations.

In Tampere, three Prisma stores—Kaleva, Lielahti and Linnainmaa—will continue to operate around the clock, with the company noting that their larger size and higher nighttime demand make 24/7 service viable there.
