Organisers now expect roughly 38,000 visitors at Tampere's Vauhti kiihtyy festival this weekend, up from about 36,500 last year, Aamulehti reports. The festival runs until 29 August on the parking area of the Hakametsä ice rink.
The lineup pairs current chart acts with long-running Finnish favourites. It includes Käärijä and Portion Boys alongside Diandra, Juha Tapio, Elastinen, Stratovarius, Yö and Popeda.
This is the fourth time Tampere has hosted Vauhti kiihtyy. It is one of the summer's last major outdoor festivals and is being staged in nine cities this year. Organisers have confirmed the event will return to Tampere next summer. Tickets for 2025 are already on sale, though the artist lineup will be announced later.
The festival takes place during a packed festival weekend in Tampere.
