Roadworks on Lempääläntie Prompt Long-Term Bus Diversion in Valkeakoski
Roadworks on Lempääläntie have caused a long-term bus diversion in Valkeakoski; Nysse says temporary routing and stops are in place until construction ends.
Roadworks on Lempääläntie have led to a long-term bus diversion in Valkeakoski, with temporary routing in place until construction is complete, Nysse says on its website.
Buses from the Valkeakoski school campus toward the town centre will follow Lempääläntie, Kirjaskatu, Radanvarsitie and Ulvajankatu. Services from the town centre to the campus run the reverse way. Temporary stops have been installed at both ends of Kirjaskatu to serve the diversion.
Passengers heading to the Valkeakoski school campus, Kangasala and Tampere should use Radanvarsi stop 9939 and Kirjaskatu 9937; those travelling toward the town centre should use Kirjaskatu 9938 and Radanvarsi 9940. The Lempääläntie route will not be used south of Kirjaskatu during the works.
Because of that, the Roopenkatu and Tallikatu stops and the southern Kirjaskatu stop are closed until the diversion ends. Passengers are advised to use the temporary Kirjaskatu stops or nearby alternatives, and to check Nysse's website for full timetables and route details.
This change follows other temporary Nysse reroutes in the region, including a May reroute of lines 14 and 29 and a June diversion affecting line 21.
