Sale Hervanta on Insinöörinkatu to Close at End of October

Sale Hervanta on Insinöörinkatu will close at the end of October, after what Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa describes as a long period of unprofitability, Tamperelainen reports. Meeri Pirinen, manager for the Sale chain, said customers have shifted to larger supermarkets and that increased remote work has reduced weekday trade. A closing sale begins on Friday, October 30, and the store will stay open while stocks last. The final day is Saturday, October 31. Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa says all Sale Hervanta employees will be transferred to other locations and that the closure will not lead to any job cuts. The closure follows the temporary closure of K-Market Teekkarinkatu in Hervanta for a major renovation this autumn.
