Sotkamon Jymy, Jussittaret Sweep Semifinals as Manse PP Men Face Elimination
Sotkamon Jymy and Seinäjoki's Jussittaret swept their Superpesis semifinal series; Tampere's Manse PP men trail 0–2 and face possible elimination.
Several top Superpesis clubs were swept out of the semifinals yesterday, Tamperelainen reports. On the men's side, Sotkamon Jymy completed a 3–0 sweep of Kouvolan Pallonlyöjät (KPL). Their run included a deciding fifth-quarterfinal win over Joensuun Maila. In the women's competition, Seinäjoki's Jussittaret clinched a place in the final with a 4–0 sweep of Porin Pesäkarhut.
Tampere's men's Manse PP trail Vimpelin Veto 0–2. Their season hangs by a thread; they will be eliminated if Vimpeli wins on Saturday. Manse returned to Superpesis in 2020 and used Varala testing and conditioning in preseason preparations as previously reported.
By contrast, Manse PP's women lead Joensuun Maila 3–1 and can close the series on Saturday.
