The Gourmetclub on Stockmann's rooftop charges a €4,000 joining fee and an €840 annual subscription and had about 50 members in January 2026.
The Gourmetclub atop the Stockmann building charges a €4,000 joining fee and an annual €840 subscription; it had roughly 50 members as of January 2026, Tamperelainen reported.
Founded in 2015 and modelled on Helsinki's Kirjaclub, the association uses space rented from insurer Fennia. The area was converted from a company sauna into a kitchen, storage and member lockers.
Membership is open to adults who have two current members as sponsors. The club stages a few themed dinners a year; last year a Czech-born chef hosted a Czech night, but most visits are relaxed, with drinks, cigars and terrace views over the city.
Chairman Toni Rantanen says the club keeps a sense of style. "We didn't want this to be a place where people come wrapped in towels," he said. Members often drop by before or after big events such as hockey games at Nokia Arena.
