Tampere-based CEO Wins Rare Environmental Adviser Title

Suvi Holm, the longtime CEO of Ekokumppanit Ltd in Tampere, was awarded Finland's rare environmental adviser title by President Alexander Stubb at Tampere City Hall last November, according to Aamulehti. Holm has led the Tampere-based sustainability advisory company for over two decades and is set to retire this spring. Ekokumppanit Ltd is owned by the City of Tampere, Pirkanmaa Waste Management, and Tampereen Energia.

Henri Backman, the chairman of Ekokumppanit's board, says Holm has been a central figure in sustainability and environmental matters for three decades in Pirkanmaa and across Finland. Aamulehti notes that under Holm's leadership Ekokumppanit has developed and implemented numerous concepts that have served as models nationwide, and that her expertise in responsible development and sustainability has earned recognition at the European level through many advisory roles in international projects.
