The City of Tampere is inviting residents aged 16 and over to join a Moomin-themed residents' panel and take part in a survey running from 27 October to 15 November 2026. The initiative aims to help shape city experiences linked to the Moomin Museum.
The call forms part of the city’s Moomin Vision, which aims to bring Tove Jansson’s stories into everyday urban life and boost Tampere’s experience economy around the museum. Deputy Mayor Anne‑Mari Jussila said the project seeks to preserve Jansson’s artistic legacy and promote Moomin values such as community, a spirit of adventure, tolerance and respect for nature. The mainly online panel lets members choose which surveys and activities to join. They can contribute local ideas, test new services and comment on municipal plans as they are developed.
The initiative builds on the city's earlier steering-group work to shape the Moomin development concept steering-group formation and follows Visit Tampere's appointment of a temporary project director for the Moomin project project leadership appointment.
