Tampere Launches Citywide Cleanup Drive; Sign Up by April 24
Tampere is organising a citywide cleanup; groups can sign up to tidy parks, bike paths, vacant lots and other municipal areas until April 24. Waste bins will be delivered by Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto.
Sign-ups are open until April 24. Groups — families, friends, neighbours, coworkers or hobby clubs — can pick a public spot to tidy: parks, bike paths, vacant lots, street edges or other municipal areas. Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto will deliver the ordered waste bins and is trialling smaller rolls of trash bags this year. Participants should bring their own gloves and, if useful, a small bag from home such as a used fruit bag. The cleanup is organised by Tampereen Infra Oy, Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto, the City of Tampere and Ekokumppanit.
