Tampere Offers City-Funded June Residency to Attract International Tech Talent
Tampere is inviting international tech professionals and startup founders to apply for a five-day Experience Tampere residency from 1–5 June 2026, with city-paid accommodation and curated activities for applicants and their families.
The City of Tampere is inviting international tech professionals and startup founders to apply for a five-day Experience Tampere residency running 1–5 June 2026.
The programme offers tailored networking and pitching opportunities for startups, one-to-one job interviews and a broad introduction to living and working in Tampere. Successful applicants and their families receive city-paid accommodation and curated activities so they can sample local life together.
Over the past three years the campaign has raised Tampere’s global profile and attracted about 35 international professionals. It has helped local companies recruit specialists and persuaded a few startup founders to relocate to Finland.
"The campaign brings more than talent. It brings growth, new ideas, diversity and long-term collaboration opportunities for Tampere-based companies and startups," says Nuppu Suvanto, Service Manager at International House Tampere.
The scheme supports Tampere’s roadmap for the availability and retention of international labour and aims to strengthen the city as an internationally attractive hub for technology and innovation.
